INDEPENDENT LIVING | ASSISTED LIVING | MEMORY CARE
At Peabody Place, we’re more than pet accommodating or pet-friendly, we’re pet-welcoming. This is why our pet amenities are part of making this feel like home. Unlike many other retirement communities, there is no pet weight limit required. If you don’t have a furry friend, we frequently have four-legged guests that make the rounds.
The Human–Animal Bond is defined as “a mutually beneficial and dynamic relationship between people and other animals that is influenced by behaviors that are essential to the health and well-being of both”.
Peabody Place both acknowledges and supports the special companionship that blossoms when one shares one’s life with pets, including cats, dogs, birds and fish. Studies show that cats have an almost magical ability to project calmness and lower blood pressure when cuddled and pet by humans. Loneliness is dispelled with canine ownership since dogs have a jaunty approachable quality that naturally engages the walker and invites human interaction and conversation. Not to mention the admirable qualities of dogs, such as loyalty, unconditional love, devotion and empathy. Dogs know when we are happy or sad, they can read our facial expressions and will always snuggle to offer comfort.
A life lived with pets is just better, and at Peabody Place, we salute that concept.
